Wednesday, November 13, 2024 6: 30 p.m. at The Box Jelly and via Zoom

Follow us!

Smocking is a decorative stitchery technique where fabric is gathered in a specific pattern to create a decorative and often elastic effect. Our president, Suzette Parraga-Kahana, loves to apply smocking to a variety of garments and accessories. Join us on November 13 to see how its done. BRING: needle and thread (sewing or embroidery), and scissors/thread clippers. Optional: sewing lamp. Suzette will provide fabric. If you have any smocking samples, bring it to the meeting for show-and-tell.
